Tickets for the 17 Dec 09 (10:15 am) performance of A NUTTY NUTCRACKER CHRISTMAS are availabe for only $7.00 a ticket if we purchase and attend as a group. This is an awesome show designed for ages 3 to 10 and runs approximately sixty minutes. This discount price is a savings of $5.00 off per child admission and $8.00 off adult admission. For less than the price of a movie you can see live theatre by the award winning Emerald City Theatre Company! We will meet at the Apollo Theatre at 09:55 hours and enter as a group.
The Apollo Theate is located at 2540 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago. There is ample street parking and easy access by public transportation. ALL DRUMMOND STUDENTS, SIBLINGS, STAFF, FAMILIES and FRIENDS are invited. School’s out –let’s giggle!
In order to secure this price and seating, interested parties need to e-mail or call by 23 Nov 09 and submit their money by 01 Dec 09. Only 50 tickets are available for our group so tickets are on a first come, first reserved/paid basis.
This show is highly recommended and very popular. A children’s book based on the show is being published this month. More information about the show is available at www.emeraldcitytheatre.com.
Please e-mail Alyse Goodwin at , or call (773)531-2225 if you would like to join us on 17 Dec 09 @10:15 am for this winterbreak/non-school sponsored outing.

Just a reminder:We are collecting donations in cash or grocery gift cards to help Drummond families in need. A donation in any amount would help to put a hearty meal or 2 on the table for a Drummond family. Please give what you can— a little or a lot, it all counts! THIS WEEK ONLY, your money can go even further because you can order grocery gift cards through the Drummond Dollars program, with each purchase benefiting Drummond. Use the form that went home in backpacks to order a grocery gift card to donate to our food drive, give to a friend or family member, or just to purchase for your self. Each card purchase benefits Drummond. (If you need a new form, email ). Cards may be ordered through NOV. 13TH for delivery to you November 19th & 20th. So please return Drummond Dollars forms THIS WEEK. Any cards that are donated will go to Drummond families in time for Thanksgiving. Cash donations or grocery cards purchased elsewhere will be collected until Monday, November 23rd.
Please hand your orders or donations to Mary Zerkel, Lisa Wright or Cindy Nicita, (look for us as pick-up/drop off or kiss n go)
OR drop them off in the school office.

Due to popular demand we are reopening our Drummond store for one week. This is your last chance to buy the Drummond T-shirts. The on-line store is open now and closes this Monday, November 16th and we will not hold any inventory. Please go to www.drummondlsc.org/main/pto-store/ to purchase your shirts. This year in addition to the spirit shirts we also have the golf, long sleeve and sweatshirt styles of shirts. The long sleeve and sweatshirts have been popular options for the cold weather. We now carry adult sizes which look great on any Drummond parent. Buy now!

HI all!
We have made great strides with our back garden plots and need some help finishing before the snow flies. PLEASE volunteer this Friday starting at 1:00. We need some hands to plant perennials which were donated to our school. You can also bring your children starting after school and plant something together. Thanks, Kristine Greiber and Sherri Coleman

The LSC is meeting tomorrow morning at 7:30 am. Please note we are not meeting at our usual evening time, as we will joined by the members of Drummond’s Student Council. The notice posted at the school contained a typo regarding the time.
A full agenda is attached. We’ll be discussing our plans for developing the School Improvement Plan in the coming months, which will be for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 school years. We’ll also have reports from the different LSC committees.
