Reminder to Early Childhood and Siblings re Friday Group Playdate

Filed under: General and Misc — Monica at 12:47 pm on Monday, January 19, 2009

Just a reminder that this Friday, January 23rd, is the Group Play Date at the Irving Park YMCA.  This event is open to ALL Early Childhood families.

What: YMCA Open House featuring Open Swim in the Pool, free time in the Gym, and family yoga.  *** No Charge; this event is FREE ***

When: Friday, January 23rd, 10am to 12noon. (Come a few minutes early so as to find parking, and change into swim suits.  Feel free to hang out in one of the Community Rooms afterwards… or perhaps head over to the nearby Pancake House for a group lunch!)

Where: 4251 W Irving Park Rd (one block West of the highway at Irving Park Road (just a ten-minute drive from school); metered and nonmetered side street parking available).

Who: Early Childhood Students (3-6 y.o.s in Room 100, 101, 104 and 107) and their siblings and parents/caregivers.

Snacks: Feel free to bring snacks to share; a community room will be available for hanging out afterwards and also during the Open House.

RSVP: Encouraged but not required.  .

Wear your gym shoes and bring swim gear (suits, caps [required, but they're not strict], towels, etc.) and a LOCK.
This promises to be a fun, low-key way for Drummond EC families to get together during a Day Off.  If you can’t make the whole program, come whenever you can.  Programming is targetted at the EC kids, but siblings are expected and welcome.

Please note, this is NOT an official school function.  This event is being organized just for fun by a few Drummond moms and is being sponsored by the YMCA.

Can’t make it, but still interested? Or are your kids too old?  Let me know what your interests are; the Y is willing to host a second Drummond Open House on another day if there is interest!  or 773-252-6290.
