Tickets for the Depaul Children’s Theatre production of “ALICE IN WONDERLAND” are availbale for 12 February 2009 at 10:00 am. The tickets are a bargain at $5.70. That’s right, for less than a value meal you can enjoy LIVE THEATRE! One adult and one child can see live theatre with live music in a completely redone professional theatre (this used to be the world famous Blackstone theatre l) for $11.40 total. Cheaper than a movie!

We will be meeting at the Depaul’s Merle Reskin Theatre, which is located at 60 E. Balbo — near both public transporation and public parking. Tickets will be distributed on 11 February 2009 or at the theatre, depending on the box office policy.
All Drummond students, parents, families, siblings and friends are welcome to participate in this non-school sponsored event. Come and spend a day off at the theatre! The more the merrier!

The Drummond After School Committee needs your help in implementing a new and exciting afterschool enrichment program for all Drummond Students!
Get Involved: Classes to be held after school which encompass a wide range of interests! Some of our thoughts include cooking, photography, dance, business, juggling, foreign language, painting, poetry, debate, movies, origami, music, sports, you name it! We are open to all suggestions so please make them.
When: Classes will be held after school, but the amount of time you will contribute is up to you! You can teach one class or five. You will decide how long the class will be and how often. The ideas will be yours and the aftershool committee will both fund and help implement them.
WHY: Because WE ALL have something to SHARE. Because Drummond is an amazing community that is CONSTANTLY GROWING. Because…. we want our students to see ALL OF THE POSSIBILITIES open to them!

Hi Everyone – Escape the cold for a little while and come to the next meeting of all volunteers for the Drummond Big Event, Luau 2009! There is a meeting of all volunteers on Monday, January 26, at 7 p.m. at Adobo Grill on Division Street at Damen. This meeting will focus on the Silent Auction and Sponsorship. This is an opportunity to fill out a donation commitment form for silent auction items, drop-off any auction items you already have, and learn more about how you can help our school. We look forward to seeing our Drummond community at the next Local School Council meeting on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 6:00pm in Room 007. The entire meeting will be translated concurrently into Spanish, free child care will be provided and free refreshments will be served. The LSC will report on how Drummond is working to improve your child’s educational experience. This time, we hope the weather will cooperate!

The Chuck E Cheese fundraiser scheduled this Thursday Jan 22nd is cancelled but save the date – it will be rescheduled to Tuesday April 14th during the 2nd week of Spring Break (pending LSC approval)
