DrumBeat: Drummond LSC and PTO News & Views

The first LSC meeting of 2008 will address ISAT scores, current school applications, progress toward a new school-wide plan (SIPAAA) and its Parent Compact, and LSC elections in April for 2008-10. Also, a new parent representative will be selected from four outstanding candidates – come and show them your support! Childcare with movies will be provided on the first floor – $3 per child (ok to bring snacks). LSC meeting will be at 5pm in room 007. Hope to see you there!

The third through eighth graders are celebrating the New Year with a dance tomorrow, Friday, 1/11, which means that it is an OUT OF UNIFORM DAY FOR EVERYONE!  

Are you interested in helping out with the schoolwide Spaghetti Dinner event?  Wondering what this event is all about?  Just eager to reconnect with school parents after a looong winter break? 

This Sunday, Jan 6 from 3-4:30 there is a planning meeting at Jenn Tengelson’s house at 1919 N. Winchester.  Details for the Spaghetti Dinner event will be hammered out and we can really use your help!  We’re planning food, drinks, entertainment and community building that takes a village!  If you’d like to get involved, but can’t attend on Sunday, please leave a comment here and we’ll get in touch with you.
