The Drummond Local School Council is seeking a new PARENT REPRESENTATIVE to serve through the rest of the school year. Are you a Drummond parent or guardian interested in investing your time and talents in your child’s school, developing improved policies and practices, working with teachers, administrators & community members, and building a stronger school community? Please consider joining the Drummond Local School Council. Applications are available in the office, and are due on Jan 11. Then come to the LSC meeting & introduce yourself on Jan 15. LSC Meeting plus Movie Night for the kids! The December LSC meeting will cover updates on the Garden Project, the AfterSchool program, results of the parent and teacher surveys, plans from the Diversity Committee, ideas for the upcoming Spaghetti Dinner, and many more topics. Complete agenda is posted at the front door. Kids are invited to watch a movie in the nap room with supervision – $3 per child. All are welcome!

Please join us for the last PTO meeting of 2007!  We will convene right after the LSC meeting in Room 007 and plan to cover several interesting items, such as an update on Family Reading Night planning and pulling together for a great Spaghetti Dinner!

Its a busy time of year, but if you can make it, we’d love to see you there! 

No experience necessary! Drummond School needs your help as a Judge for the Science Fair on Thursday, December 6 from 8:30am to 1:30pm.  Judges will evaluate projects from 4rd – 8th grade, and will be provided with plenty of coffee, refreshments and big smiles of appreciation! An important orientation on the evaluation process begins at 9am. Please contact teacher Juan Gonzalez ( or 773.534.4120) if you can participate.
