Friends of Drummond Announces the Wells Fargo Matching Grant Program
Matching up to $500 of Contributions to the Isabel Mesa Collins Scholarship Fund
Friends of Drummond is pleased to announce the Wells Fargo Matching Grant Program.  Thanks to a generous donation from Wells Fargo Bank, FOD will match all individual contributions up to $50 to the Isabel Mesa Collins Scholarship Fund up to a total of $500.  To be eligible for the match, contributions must be made between August 27, 2007, and October 31, 2007.
The Isabel Mesa Collins Scholarship Fund helps low income families pay for school supplies, school clothing,  field trip fees, and other necessities.
Donations may be made out to the Isabel Mesa-Collins Scholarship Fund and delivered or mailed to the School office at 1845 West Cortland, 60622.  The School will notify FOD of all contributions made before October 31, and FOD will then match up to $500 in contributions.

Lots of PTO information about the first week of school

Filed under: General and Misc — laura at 7:46 pm on Wednesday, August 8, 2007

Its been an exciting first few days of school at Drummond and as the five year olds are dreaming of starting in the morning, I wanted to let you know a few important items about what’s happening with PTO over the next few days.

  • Monday, August 13th there will be a parent coffee in Room 007 at 9:00 (the old nap room) sponsored by NCLB and PTO.  This will be a great opportunity to catch up with friends, meet new ones and get back into the swing of the 9am drop-offs.
  • The Uniform Exchange will take place on Tuesday, August 14th, 2:00pm at the Cortland Entrance.  This is a great way to exchange uniforms your child has outgrown for larger sizes.  No matter if you don’t have uniforms to give, please come and browse for sizes you need.  Each piece will cost only $1 if you don’t have anything to exchange.  You can’t beat that deal!
  • The First PTO Meeting of the year is Tuesday, August 14th, 7:00pm at the French Academy, 2126 N. Damen.  We will be discussing the committees, special events, fundraisers and many ways to get involved in the school this year!  There are so many fun ways to volunteer, please come & meet other Drummond parents!
  • PTO is taking orders for Spirit T Shirts and the collared Drummond shirts starting tomorrow, August 9th.  Look for the table with PTO reps at the Cortland Entrance on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next two weeks-  We’ll have Shirt Order forms, PTO Sign Up Forms, Meeting Schedules and Information about Committees that need volunteers.  Come on over to say hi!

If you would like more information about any of the items listed here or would like to volunteer to help with any of these events, please reply here and we’ll get you started in the right direction.  Its already looking like its going to be a great year at Drummond and we’re so glad you are a part of it!
