Have you bought your Tango tickets yet?

Filed under: General and Misc — laura at 8:26 am on Saturday, May 12, 2007

Have you seen the Viking Grill in the Gallery?  Its part of the silent auction and will be available for you to bid on at Tango, along with tons of other wonderful items, like:

  • Lunch and movies with Ms. Caltabiano
  • A Day at the Shedd Aquarium with Ms. Kerber
  • A Canoe Trip with Mr. Daube
  • Dinner and a Movie with Mrs. Menjivar
  • A Trip to the Kohl’s Children’s Museum with Ms. Zehren
  • A Weekend Stay at Mr. Neidlinger’s Home in Michigan

Drummond PTO is a sponsor of Tango and is encouraging your support of Drummond School.  The LSC just approved the budget for the 2007-2008 school year that provides a fraction of the money for supplies needed to get through the year.  Mrs. Collins estimated that each month, the school requires $1000 in supplies that just are not available in the budget.  Supporting an event like Tango is helpful in raising money for the school that will no longer be provided due to budget shortfalls.  Please consider coming to Tango or dropping off your donation directly in the Main Office.

Filed under: General and Misc — Angelo at 3:07 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2007

Start your engines. Get your babysitters lined up. Buy your tickets now. Tango for Drummond is just one week away and promises to be a great event. The Silent Auction Committee has put together an amazing line-up of treasures for bidding on. Thanks to the entire Silent Auction Committee (credits here) and to the Drummond PTO for generously funding class projects for the silent auction. Particular thanks to the supportive efforts of our teachers for going above and beyond their hard work every day to make contributions to the silent auction — Ms. Bell, Ms. Bonkowski, Ms. Caltabiano, Mr. Daube, Ms. Espada, Ms. Gonzalez, Ms. Kerber, Ms. Martinez-McCarthy, Ms. Masny, Ms. Menjivar, Mr. Neidlinger, Ms. Rejman (many times over!), Ms. Zerhen, Mr. Zielinski — those are the names I found in the long list of items — I apologize if I missed any!

Please check out the silent auction list for yourself — an advance draft list of the silent auction items is online now. While you’re at the site, dont’ forget to purchase your tickets to get your advance-purchase discount.

Last, but not least, I want to thank the hard-working, enthusiastic students of Drummond for taking charge of their own school improvement efforts with wonderful contributions to the Tango for Drummond auction. You make us all very proud, and you make all our efforts worthwhile!
