family reading night boxes heading for Drummond
I have great news. I’ve contacted a number of the agencies we discussed and 2 are already sending camping/ nature related freebies directly to Drummond (possibly care of Bonnie Kenaz-Mara).
I’ll copy The Forest Service e-mail here and the list enroute from The Department of Natural Resources. Please let me know if there’s someone in the office I should notify to be on the look out for these materials and flag me down when they arrive.

Be on the lookout for a package addressed to you that contains Smokey Bear
comic books, Woodsy Owl Activity folders, Jr Ranger books, Natural Inquire
magazines and Woodsy and Smokey bookmarks.

reading night–camping room
Dear Ms. Evans-
I’m writing on behalf of Drummond Montessori Magnet School, a Chicago
Public school in Bucktown. We have a nature themed family reading night
coming up Feb 20th, and would like to include Smokey The Bear and Woodsy
Owl materials as part of our camping themed room.
If you have anything available, we are expecting 150 children from
pre-school through 8th grade. Any materials would be greatly appreciated.
